Another step in moving forward a work and family agenda is for the union to endorse the Work & Family Bill of Rights. Adopted by unions and organizations across the country, the Bill of Rights recognizes that workers have certain fundamental rights related to work and family. Adopting this Bill makes a clear statement of the union’s support for these issues.
- Post a copy of the Work & Family Bill of Rights in a prominent location in your union office.
- Let members know that the union has signed on to the Bill of Rights and that the union is committed to addressing their work and family issues.
- Add the union to the national list of supporters of the Bill of Rights alongside other unions, labor groups and community organizations.
