AFSCME Council 6 and Minneapolis Community College Child Care Center: AFSCME Council 6 represents child care workers at the college. Child care teachers have Civil Service classification allowing them to earn between $8.42 and $12 an hour. They also receive fully paid health, dental and life insurance benefits, ten paid yearly holidays, and paid sick and vacation time.
