Family Leave

United Food & Commercial Workers and Gallo Wines, Distillery Wine Division: Local 2324 won up to one year unpaid leave for maternity, paternity or adoption, for a member's own disability or if a member is primarily responsible for providing dependent care for an ill or injured family member. While on leave, members continue to receive health benefits for up to three months and continue to accrue seniority.

National Education Association & Board of Trustees MID MichiganCommunity College: NEA negotiated an unpaid leave of absence for members for parental/child care. The leave can be up to one year. Seniority will continue to accumulate during the leave.

Office and Professional Employees International Union and Blue Cross/Blue Shield: OPEIU bargained with Blue Cross/Blue Shield for a leave of absence without pay for their members for up to six months. This leave of absence must be taken to care for a member of the employee's immediate family.
